From the record Aug 19, 2026

There is a concrete 2026 precedent for what this resolution is aimed at. On Tuesday, August 4, when constitutional amendments became the main business, the convention entered executive session: nondelegates were removed and the YouTube livestream was suspended while the amendments were considered. Amendment work continued in executive session on Wednesday.

So the entire ranked-choice-voting debate, the 3,250–1,403 vote on amendment No. 3, and the 3,016–1,426 procedural vote all happened with the stream off. The official Convention Chronicles are the public record of that business.

Livestreaming the convention also appears among the proposals Build a Fighting NALC endorsed and asked branches to pass before the convention.
