Welcome to Mail Carrier Hub. These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") explain the rules for using MailCarrierHub.org and its related newsletters, social pages, community spaces, digital resources, and other services that link to these Terms (collectively, the "Service").

Mail Carrier Hub is operated by Joanie Weber (referred to in these Terms as "Mail Carrier Hub," "MCH," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What Mail Carrier Hub Is — and Is Not

Mail Carrier Hub is an independent community and educational media project built to help mail carriers feel informed, supported, and less alone while learning the ropes of the job. We may publish articles, practical resources, interviews, podcasts, videos, newsletters, community discussions, and other content related to postal work and the people who do it.

The Service is provided for general information, education, discussion, and community purposes. It is not legal advice, labor-relations advice, medical advice, financial advice, or a substitute for reading the applicable collective-bargaining agreement, employee manual, local memorandum, official policy, or speaking with a qualified representative or professional.

Unless we explicitly say otherwise in writing, Mail Carrier Hub is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or acting on behalf of the United States Postal Service, any labor union, any local union, or any government agency. References to USPS, unions, collective-bargaining agreements, or other organizations are for discussion, identification, news, commentary, education, or other lawful purposes. Those organizations' names, logos, and marks belong to their respective owners.

Work rules, contracts, benefits, policies, and procedures can change. You are responsible for verifying information against the controlling official source before acting on it.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian.

Some features may require an account, membership, newsletter sign-up, or a third-party account. You agree to provide accurate, current information; protect your password and access credentials; and promptly tell us at jsimpsonsteward44@gmail.com if you believe your account has been used without authorization. You are responsible for activity conducted through your account unless it resulted from our failure to use reasonable security measures.

We may refuse, suspend, or end access to an account or feature when reasonably necessary to protect people, the Service, creators, or our rights; to investigate suspected misconduct; or to comply with law. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

3. Respectful and Lawful Use

You may use the Service for lawful personal, community, and organizational purposes consistent with these Terms. You may not use the Service to:

• break the law or violate another person's rights;
• threaten, stalk, harass, discriminate against, or encourage violence toward anyone;
• publish private or identifying information about another person — such as a home address, personal phone number, personal email, employee ID, schedule, medical information, or private workplace record — without a lawful basis and the person's permission;
• impersonate a person, organization, union, USPS office, or Mail Carrier Hub, or falsely suggest an endorsement or employment relationship;
• upload or share material you do not have the right to use, including copyrighted work, trademarks, photographs, recordings, or confidential workplace material;
• knowingly make false statements of fact about a person or organization, or present rumors as verified fact;
• send spam, phishing attempts, scams, unauthorized advertising, or unwanted bulk messages;
• exploit or endanger minors, distribute non-consensual intimate imagery, or share sexual content involving minors;
• introduce malware; interfere with the Service; bypass security measures; probe for vulnerabilities without permission; or attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorized to access;
• scrape, harvest, or use automated tools to collect Service content or personal information at scale without our written permission; or
• use our content, name, logo, or community to train, promote, or sell a product in a way that falsely suggests our endorsement.

Criticism, debate, and honest personal experience are welcome. They must be shared responsibly and without threats, doxxing, targeted harassment, unlawful disclosure of private information, or infringement of others' rights.

4. User Content and Community Contributions

You keep ownership. You retain the copyright and other rights you already hold in content you submit, post, upload, comment on, or otherwise provide through the Service ("User Content"). Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of your original work to Mail Carrier Hub.

The limited permission you give us. To run the Service, you grant Mail Carrier Hub a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable only to our service providers, and sublicensable only as needed to operate the Service, license to host, store, reproduce, format, adapt for technical display, translate, display, distribute, and publicly perform your User Content. This license is limited to operating, securing, improving, promoting, and making the Service available in the ways you choose through the Service's features.

For public User Content, that license includes showing it to other users and allowing them to view, share through enabled Service features, or otherwise use it only as these Terms and the Service functionality allow. It does not give Mail Carrier Hub ownership of your work or permission to sell your User Content as a standalone product, place it on merchandise, or use it in paid advertising outside the Service without your separate written permission.

Removal. You may delete User Content that you posted, where the Service makes deletion available, or ask us at jsimpsonsteward44@gmail.com to remove it. We will make reasonable efforts to remove it from public areas, but copies may remain in backups for a limited period, in cached pages, or where other people lawfully copied or shared it before removal. The operational license ends when your User Content is removed from our active systems, except to the extent reasonably necessary for backups, legal obligations, dispute resolution, or content already lawfully shared by others.

Your promise about submissions. You represent that you have the rights, permissions, and lawful basis needed to submit User Content and to give the limited license above. If your work is being contributed for publication as an article, photograph, video, interview, podcast, graphic, or similar creative work, our separate Content Licensing Agreement controls that contribution if you and Mail Carrier Hub have signed one.

No AI-training license. Mail Carrier Hub does not claim a license through these Terms to use User Content to train a generative artificial-intelligence model. Any such use would require a separate, clear agreement with the rights holder.

5. Content We Publish and Content from Other People

Mail Carrier Hub content — including our text, design, logos, resources, illustrations, podcasts, videos, and software — is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Except where a page says otherwise, we give you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to view and use it for your personal, non-commercial use. You may share a link to our public content and quote a short, properly attributed excerpt for lawful commentary, reporting, or discussion.

Do not copy, republish, sell, systematically download, alter, or create commercial derivative work from our content without written permission, unless the law allows it or the content carries a license that says otherwise. Requests may be sent to joanie.weber2008@gmail.com.

Creators, commenters, guests, members, advertisers, and third parties are responsible for the content they provide. Their views are their own. We do not guarantee that third-party content is complete, accurate, current, safe, or appropriate, and we are not responsible for decisions you make based on it.

6. Copyright and Other Intellectual-Property Reports

We respect intellectual-property rights and ask users to do the same. If you believe material on the Service infringes your copyright or other intellectual-property right, send a detailed report to joanie.weber2008@gmail.com with:

• identification of the protected work you believe has been infringed;
• the URL or a clear description of the material you want us to review;
• your name and contact information;
• a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent, or the law;
• a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your report is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act for the rights holder; and
• your physical or electronic signature.

We may remove or disable access to material while we investigate a valid report, notify the affected contributor when appropriate, and take action against repeat infringers. A person who believes content was removed by mistake may send a counter-notice containing the information required by applicable law. Do not send knowingly false reports or counter-notices.

7. Paid Features, Memberships, Merchandise, and Third Parties

Certain features may be free, while others may require payment, a membership, a subscription, or a third-party checkout. Any price, renewal schedule, cancellation terms, refund policy, and feature-specific rules will be clearly presented before you are charged and become part of these Terms.

If payment, membership, merchandise fulfillment, crowdfunding, social media, community chat, or another feature is handled by a third party, your use of that feature may also be governed by the third party's own terms and privacy policy. For example, a merchandise store, payment processor, membership provider, or chat community may set its own account, billing, return, moderation, delivery, or dispute rules. We are not responsible for third-party services or for agreements you make directly with other users or vendors.

We will identify sponsored content, affiliate relationships, gifted products, and other material connections clearly and close to the relevant recommendation or promotion when disclosure is required.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share personal information. It is part of these Terms. Please do not post personal information about yourself or others unless you understand the audience and have the right to share it.

9. Feedback

If you send us ideas, suggestions, or feedback about the Service, you may do so voluntarily. You keep any rights you have in your feedback, but grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free right to use it without compensation or obligation to you. This does not apply to creative work submitted under a separate Content Licensing Agreement.

10. Changes, Availability, and Termination

We may change, suspend, or discontinue part of the Service when reasonably necessary, including to maintain security, comply with law, improve features, or protect users and creators. We will try to give advance notice of significant changes that materially and adversely affect paid features, when practical.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version with a new effective date and, for material changes, provide additional notice where reasonable. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms. Changes will not retroactively take away rights already granted to a creator under a separately signed Content Licensing Agreement.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mail Carrier Hub disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

We do not promise that the Service will always be available, that every post or resource is accurate or current, or that using information from the Service will produce a particular workplace, legal, financial, health, or other outcome. You use the Service and any third-party links at your own risk.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

12. Limits on Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mail Carrier Hub, Joanie Weber, its contributors, volunteers, contractors, service providers, and their respective officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost profits; lost data; loss of goodwill; or business interruption arising from or related to the Service or these Terms.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mail Carrier Hub's total liability for any claim arising from the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid directly to Mail Carrier Hub for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for intentional misconduct where limitation is prohibited by law.

13. Your Responsibility for Claims You Cause

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Mail Carrier Hub, Joanie Weber, and our contributors, volunteers, contractors, service providers, officers, employees, and agents from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your User Content, your violation of these Terms, your unlawful use of the Service, or your violation of another person's rights.

We will promptly notify you of a covered claim when practicable, and you may not settle a claim in a way that imposes obligations or admits fault on a protected person without our prior written consent.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law where you live requires otherwise. Before filing a claim, please contact us at joanie.weber2008@gmail.com and give us 30 days to try to resolve the matter informally.

Unless applicable law requires a different forum, any dispute that is not resolved informally must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Polk County, Iowa, and you consent to their jurisdiction and venue. Either party may bring an eligible individual claim in small-claims court.

15. General Terms

These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any feature-specific terms or separately signed agreement that applies to you are the entire agreement between you and Mail Carrier Hub about the Service. If there is a conflict, a separately signed Content Licensing Agreement controls only for the creative contribution it covers.

If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them as part of a merger, sale, reorganization, or transfer of the Service, while honoring any separately signed creator agreements according to their terms.
